Company History

CircleUp was founded in May 2006 by CEO John Payne and CTO Doug Tung, in conjunction with Jim Jonassen, who is our non-executive Chairman of the Board of Directors. We intended to solve a problem that we all have, especially in our communications with our various social and professional groups... the battle of the inbox. We decided to solve this issue by making messaging more efficient and more multi-channel for group communications.
